Almost any Huntsvillian who has lived here for any significant length of time is capable of recalling John Blue Co.’s original location in the city.
It was a cavernous building on the corner of Bob Wallace Avenue and 1st Street with the company’s name – John Blue Co. Foundry Company – stenciled in large letters.
As many as 20 cows, all owned by the Blue family, were known to roam the fields near the main building, occasionally resulting in stray livestock wandering through the streets of southwest Huntsville.
